Everyone, adults and children, are equally looking forward to the New Year holidays and try to prepare for them in advance. Of course, I want to meet my favorite and long-awaited holidays with a “perfect” mark, so that they will be remembered for a long time, and then there will be something to remember and tell all relatives and friends.
One of the options for a “worthy” and, importantly, budgetary meeting of the New Year and relaxation is a visit to a ball in the Mir Castle. As a rule, since December, an advertising pre-holiday company begins in the press, where you can fully and completely find out everything about the planned similar New Year events.
The colorful Mir castle of the famous Radziwills, for those who do not know yet, is located in the village of Mir, an hour's drive from Minsk. Firstly, it is really, surprisingly, inexpensive for such an original pastime - only 400,000 Belarusian rubles (about $ 21.7). Secondly, the program of balls is never repeated, lasts for four hours and takes place in one of the halls of the castle in stunningly luxurious interiors.
Usually, balls are held here two days in a row immediately after January 1 and differ from each other in themes. In 2016, for example, on the first day there was a classic score in the style of 19century, and on the second day - Retro-salon. Quite curious, you must admit.
One of the main and obligatory conditions for all participants of any ball is the appropriate dress code. For a classic ball, for example, these are beautiful New Year's ball gowns for women and tuxedos or tailcoats for men. For the Retro salon, these are outfits in the style of the 70-80s. Masquerade costumes are always in trend, perfect for any occasion.
You can, of course, buy ready-made outfits in popular stores, or you can rent them. In extreme cases, you can just find a beautiful evening dress or an elegant suit and add accessories that match the theme of the ball - this is also quite an acceptable option.
And one more important point. Any ball usually starts in the evening and ends quite late, and if you live far away and are not going to return home on the same day, then you need to find a place to spend the night in advance. There are several options.
- The first is a hotel in the castle itself. Chic, expensive, comfortable and you need to book in advance, as there are not many rooms and usually everyone is busy on holidays.
- The second option is to stay at one of the nearby farmsteads. In this case, it will be somewhat cheaper and even somehow completely at home. But you will also have to book places in the farmstead long before the event. And after the ball, you will need to get to it yourself, if you do not agree with the owners of the estate to meet you.
In principle, both options are good. The hotel on the castle grounds is wonderful, andBelarusian farmsteads are also very good. In addition, in the farmsteads themselves, as a rule, various services and entertainment are provided - it will not be boring there either. If you wish, you can even stay and relax a little more after the holiday in nature.
It can be said that it is an ideal budget option for relaxing and spending the New Year holidays. Therefore, if you are interested in the era of gangsters and stunningly fashionable ladies, as well as the glitter of the casino and, of course, incendiary jazz, be sure to go to such a ball if it takes place in the Mir Castle. If not, choose another ball for yourself (for example, in the Russian Castle) be sure to visit it!
