Christmas light bulb crafts

It is better not to throw away a burnt-out light bulb on New Year's Eve, because you can make beautiful and bright toys for the Christmas tree from them.

To make you will need:

  • burnt out bulbs;
  • glue;
  • glitter, rhinestone or cut into small squares DVD;
  • gouache;
  • satin ribbon;
  • twigs;
  • felt for hat and scarf.

How to make an interesting toy:

The easiest option: cover the glass part of the bulb with glue and sprinkle with sparkles or stick on rhinestones, squares from the disk. After drying, glue a loop of satin ribbon so that you can hang the toy on the Christmas tree.

For a little penguin, you will need to paint the light bulb bulb with black and white gouache, draw a nose and eyes, and after it dries, build a scarf and a hat from small scraps of felt.

You don't need great artistic skills to make a snowman toy. The light bulb is painted white or pasted over with white sparkles. Dots of black gouache draw eyes and mouth, red - nose. Decor elements (scarf, hat) are glued to the dried bulb. Snowman hands can also be drawn or made from twigs.

Interesting cone crafts

A bright cone on a Christmas tree is already a decoration in itself, if you hang it on a string. And if you turn it over and put it on a stand, then this is already a street in miniature. What will it take to create such beauty?

Listmaterials:

  • opened cone - as a base;
  • paints and glitter to decorate toys;
  • bright Styrofoam balls - to decorate a miniature Christmas tree;
  • colored paper - for the star on top;
  • glue - to glue decorative elements;
  • tape or string - for loop;
  • s alt dough - for coaster.

The sequence of creating any cone toy is quite simple, and it can be repeated just by looking at the photo of the finished work.

Button work for the New Year

If there are a lot of buttons in the sewing box, then you can make a New Year's keychain or a miniature pendant in the form of a Christmas tree or a Christmas wreath from them.

The keychain can be given as a homemade gift to mom, sister or girlfriend.

Work sequence:

  1. On a bright metal cord of sufficient length, string buttons of different diameters so that their outlines repeat the silhouette of the Christmas tree. Top with a button in the form of an asterisk. Tie a knot in the cord so that the pendant can be hung.
  2. For a Christmas wreath, green buttons of different diameters are strung and closed into a ring. A ribbon bow is tied on top, and an interesting pendant is ready.
  3. Another version of the Christmas tree from buttons: make a cone from soft foam rubber, paint it green and use pinsdecorate with buttons.

Christmas lamps from cans

The soft light of candles makes New Year's Eve fabulous, but handmade lamps can betray them even more soulfulness.

To make them you will need:

  • glass jars;
  • lace,
  • paper,
  • paint;
  • adhesive tape;
  • glue;
  • candles.

Candles don't have to be real. It is safer to use LED candles, which are not much more expensive than conventional ones.

Sequence of actions for different luminaire options:

  • Cover a clean and dry glass jar with lace or a tourniquet, creating an interesting fairy-tale pattern on it.

  • For the second option, a sticky fly (painting tape) is glued onto the jar repeating the silhouette, for example, of Christmas trees. Then they paint the jar with white acrylic paint, and after it dries, the tape is removed.

  • You can cut out the silhouettes of houses or trees from white paper and stick them on the prepared jar.

  • After that, it remains only to fix the candle inside and set fire to it.

S alt Dough Crafts

Rolling pin, cookie cutters and paint - everything you need to makes alt dough decorations, and for the dough itself you need to take:

  • 1 cup fine s alt;
  • 2 cups flour;
  • ½ glass of water;
  • 10 ml vegetable oil.

Cooking:

  1. In a deep bowl, mix s alt and sifted flour.
  2. Pour sunflower oil into the bulk ingredients, then gradually adding water to knead the plastic dough.

During the kneading process, you can color the dough with vegetable juice or paints. You can store the mass for modeling for no more than a day, wrapping it with a film and putting it in the refrigerator. You can dry the finished work naturally at room temperature or in the oven at 50-75 degrees.

Christmas sock snowman toy

For a funny sock snowman you will need:

  • 1 white sock;
  • 1 bright sock;
  • decorative buttons;
  • groats;
  • rope or rubber bands;
  • scissors.

Step by step instructions:

  1. At the white sock, cut off part of the foot to the heel. Fill it with cereal and tie it with a rope or elastic band.
  2. Cut off the top and bottom of the colored sock. From the top, make a sweater by intercepting the torso with a rope or elastic band to highlight the head. Make a hat from the bottom.
  3. Decorate the face and sweater with buttons, beads or other elements. Interesting examples for inspiration can be found in a selection of photos.

When the paint is dry, use a hot awl to make a hole through which to thread the loop, and you can decorate the Christmas tree.

Here you will find other Christmas toys made from plastic bottles.

Christmas snowflake and other interesting crafts from isolon

Isolon is a polyethylene foam, which is designed to insulate rooms, but craftswomen have adapted to use this unusual material for their work. Large voluminous flowers are made from it, according to the same principle as from foamir.

Isolon 2-4 mm thick is used for work. In the process, templates of individual parts are cut out of it and glued together with hot glue. It can be used to make a large voluminous snowflake or other pendant to decorate a Christmas tree or interior.

Winter tale in a plastic cup

Snow globes with cozy houses fascinate with their beauty. A similar thing can be made from a plastic cup, only it must betransparent.

First, a winter composition is assembled on a cardboard mug. For her, you can use small toys suitable for the theme from kinder surprise and artificial snow. Cover the finished base with a plastic cup on top, gluing it well. If you make a loop on top of the cup, then you can hang it on the Christmas tree.

New Year Paper Crafts

Snowflakes are the most popular New Year paper decorations, but not only they can decorate a house. For creative paper work, white and colored paper, cardboard, cardboard sleeves from paper towels are suitable.

You can make a spiral Christmas tree pendant, a gingerbread house, a postcard, a garland, funny deer, or simply fill a transparent Christmas ball with strips of paper.

Christmas tree, Christmas wreath, ball and other threads

To work with this technique you will need:

  • colorful threads;
  • PVA glue;
  • basis for future crafts: cone, balloon, Christmas ball, etc.;
  • decor elements: beads, buttons, rhinestones.

Sequence of actions:

  1. For openwork jewelry, threads smeared with glue are wound on the base, then the base (for example, a balloon) is carefully removed, and then decorated to your taste.
  2. If the base is not removed, then the threads are tightly glued to it, due to their texture, very interesting crafts are obtained.

Felt Christmas tree toys

Even a child can work with this material. To sew a beautiful felt toy for the Christmas tree, you will need:

  1. Cut out two halves of a ball, Christmas tree or star.
  2. Sew them with a “forward needle” seam along the contour, fill with padding polyester.
  3. Then sew on a loop and embroider with threads, beads or beads.

The symbol of the New Year 2023 will be the Black Water Rabbit. Therefore, we have prepared a master class and patterns for sewing a New Year's Tiger from felt.

Interesting ice cream stick crafts

Even ice cream sticks can be used for Christmas toys. To do this, they only need to be glued together, turning, for example, into a Christmas tree. The finished work is painted and decorated.

What can be made frompom-poms for the New Year?

Pom-poms from threads are made as follows:

  1. Two identical circles are cut out of cardboard with a hole in the center.
  2. The circles are folded together, then wrapped with thread.
  3. Then the threads are carefully cut on the sides.
  4. The circles are slightly pushed apart, in the middle they are tightly tied with a thread and fluffed up.

If you need to make a lot of pompoms, you can use this scheme:

Ready-made pom-poms can be glued onto a cone, turning it into a fluffy Christmas tree or making another craft in the New Year theme. Store-bought polyester pompoms can be used.
