To prepare homemade borscht seasoning, you will need one kilogram of carrots, bell peppers, beets and onions, which must be grated, preferably large. Next, grind 1 kg of tomato in a meat grinder and finely chop one kilogram of onions. Be sure to add 250 grams of sugar, 200 grams of vinegar, 250 grams of sunflower oil, and s alt to taste. All vegetables, except tomatoes, should be fried in turn in a small amount of vegetable oil.

Next, you need to shift the frying into a saucepan, pour in the tomato and cook for an hour and a half, stirring occasionally. If you want the dressing to be spicy, 20 minutes before the end of cooking, you need to add ground 2 capsicum hot peppers. Bay leaf - to taste.
